Welcome to W.F.N.H.

Wize Fellaz Nursing Home is a collection of NFTs depicting timeless OGs who have been fighting the forces of chaos since the beginning of time by harnessing the power of Spring Tea, a wondrous cocktail that prolongs life, grants supernatural powers, and drives users slightly kooky. Our collection capitalizes on the incredible power of original art and storytelling to build a vibrant Web3 brand.

Beyond financial growth and sustainability, our community seeks to support institutions that improve the lives of older adults suffering from poverty and social exclusion.

The Storytelling

The Wize Fellaz Nursing Home is a front business for the Fellowship of the Wise, an ancient order of warriors who have learned to prolong their lives indefinitely in order to combat the powers of chaos... at the cost of going slightly kooky in the process.

The Philanthropy

The world’s population is aging faster. The UN estimated that by 2050, 1 in 6 people will be 65 or older, up from 1 in 11 in 2019.

The Digital Divide created between the digital world and older adults has a terrible toll on their mental and physical health.

The Founder

Entrepreneur, illustrator, product developer, Hollywood visual effects veteran.

As Founder and Creative Director at eStudio37, I lead the collectibles unit with a focus on design, revenue growth, and brand expansion.

Prior to eStudio37, I worked at Sony Pictures Imageworks supervising pipeline research and development, bidding, execution, and final content delivery. Past film credits include Matrix Reloaded, Matrix Revolutions, The Watchmen, and all three Spider-Man films. Superman Returns, The Aviator, and Spider-Man 2 were nominated for the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, with Spider-Man 2 taking the prestigious award.

Following Sony Pictures I became Chief Digital Officer at JCG, the largest media group in the Brazilian Mid-North, with 26 media companies spanning television, newspaper, radio, and internet where I oversaw the strategy, design, marketing and sales of digital products.

In 2015, my team and I were presented with the award for "Best New Mobile App" from the International News Media Association (INMA).

Over the years I have been a member of trade associations such as INMA, Wan-Ifra, ANJ (Nacional Association of Newspapers), and the Visual Effects Society.

I have been a guest speaker at a number of international industry events such as Google's Newsgeist, Wan-Ifra's Digital Media LatAm, and Autodesk's 3December.

The Storytelling

A cross between Scooby-Doo and Ocean's Eleven, Wize Fellaz is an IP that celebrates the youth of spirit and eternal curiosity that powers the human soul, regardless of age.

"For time immemorial, a secret society of young warriors known as the “Fellowship of the Strong” fought against the forces of tyranny with the help of a magic potion known as Spring Tea. In the pursuit of extra strength, their leader, Ajax, began secretly experimenting with an alternative version of Spring Tea which made him much more poweful and violent. Paranoid, Ajax went on a rampage, hunting down his fellow warriors to the brink of extinction.

The survivors scattered across the world and lived in isolation until their older years. Led by Phaidros, they eventually gather to discuss the failings of their former society. It became clear to them that strength, in the absence of wisdom, was the wrong motivation for their warriors. From that point on they vowed to recruit only new members who had already lived a long and fruitful life. Thus they became known as the “Fellowship of the Wise.”

Fast forward to modern days, the Wize Fellaz Nursing Home, located in Miami Beach, acts as a front for the HQ of the Fellowship of the Wise."

"Age is not a limiting factor for achievement"

The Philanthropy

The Wize Fellaz collection aims to help alleviate the social isolation and poverty punishing older adults in the Americas. To that end we are oriented by 6 of the UNs SDGs:

The UN estimated that, by 2050, 1 in 6 people will be 65 or older, up from 1 in 11 in 2019. This massive shift is happening while the world is becoming dependent on digital technology and more difficult for older adults. This Digital Divide causes feelings of loneliness, anxiety, and depression, and may lead to early death.

Our seniors deserve better!

Funding Solutions

While searching for reliable non-profits, we opted for candidates dedicated exclusively to the care of older adults, following two criteria:

  1. Must minimize the impacts of the Digital Divide on older adults and help them bridge it successfully;

  2. Must mitigate the effects of poverty, homelessness, hunger, and poor health on low income older adults;

In America, we will fund a non-profit that helps older adults feel valued, and included. It offers educational opportunities to help them overcome day-to-day challenges related to negative biases against aging.

In Brazil, we will fund a non-profit that offers housing, regular meals, and medical attention to the underprivileged. Here, we will fight the effects of poverty before addressing the Digital Divide.

Torres de Melo Home

Lar Torres de Melo is a non-profit association that operates in one of the harshest regions of Brazil. Created 116 years ago to care for drought refugees, they are currently responsible for the well-being of 223 older adults. That represents 23% of the 1009 beds available in the entire state of Ceará, Brazil.
